Many of the products on the market are similar and with our long and solid experience we have the right knowledge of what type of packaging solution is required. There are also products that make special demands on the packaging, and then we get the challenge that makes our business so exciting. There are many parameters that need to be taken into account, including which packaging material is required. This is controlled, among other things, based on your needs for barrier requirements for the product to be packed and the packaging process used. High to medium oxygen and/or water vapor barrier is needed for fragile products to have a long shelf life and for products without preservatives. The packaging process can be modified atmosphere, vacuum, steam or pasteurization.

Packaging material without a barrier is used for products that are less sensitive to external influences or if they are frozen. The choice of material depends also on which packaging machine is used and the desired speed, whether it is vertical or horizontal flowpack, wrappack, deep drawing, tray sealing or bagging machine. What is also crucial is the sealing properties needed - fully welded, easy to open, easy to tear or resealable. The puncture strength is also important when the package needs to be as tight as possible.
